Major Objectives
SC is working towards the following objectives
- To provide comprehensive and quality education.
- To facilitate participative learning programs for women's development
- To establish a resource centre for information sharing and dissemination
- To equip community members with knowledge and skill in computers and information technology.
- To initiate community learning programs on environment, health, resource mobilization and social issues
- To facilitate community ownership of the School
- To partner with Share and Care, Nepal for capacity strengthening, guidance and support.
- To identify and train potential community members for managing the ASC
- To encourage community members from marginalized groups to participate in the life of the Community School.
- To provide vocational guidance and career counseling for youth
- To preserve traditional knowledge and cultural heritage
- To inculcate human values and right attitude to life to enhance community well being.
- To decrease migration to cities for education and employment.
- To train local CBOs, women's group members to facilitate training programs to uplift other communities.
- To increase capacity of community groups to tap and mobilize resources from VDC, DDC and other sources.
